Maricopa County Courts Complex: Renovation of an urban plaza

Located in the heart of downtown Phoenix, the existing Plaza situated atop a structural deck had developed some serious leakage problems. The entire space including the streetscape surrounding a two-block area was renovated and upgraded. Gilmore Parsons first prepared a master plan for the project area, then as members of a larger project team, prepared the first and second phase construction documents. The result of this extensive project is a marquis government plaza, and an impressive cornerstone of the larger effort to renovate the entire downtown area.
