Gilmore Parsons: Landscape Architecture Project Types: Schools

El Dorado Private School: Private School
Location: 20624 N. 76th Street, Scottsdale, AZ 85255
Gilmore Parsons was selected as lead coordinator of a design team to work on a building addition to the existing El Dorado Private School Campus in Scottsdale, Arizona. We worked closely with the design team and staff at City of Scottsdale to determine the requirements for the hardscape, playground amenities, and landscape and irrigation design associated with the school. Gilmore Parsons provided the landscape construction documents and conducted a native plant inventory for the campus facility. Special consideration was given to the plant species used on the project; care was taken to not have any poisonous, allergenic, or thorny plants in close proximity to the recreation areas.

New Vernon Elementary School: School
Location: 10 Main Street, Vernon, AZ
Gilmore Parsons was selected as part of a design team to work on the building, and Gilmore Graves provided the landscape and irrigation design for this school developed on a 8.5-acre site in Vernon, Arizona. Gilmore Parsons provided the landscape construction documents and conducted a native plant inventory for the campus facility. Special consideration was given to the plant species used on the project; care was taken to plants that are adaptable to cold and harsh conditions.

Ira H. Hayes Memorial Applied Learning Center: School
Location: Bapchule, AZ
Gilmore Parsons provided the landscape and irrigation design for the first phase of this learning center developed on a 19-acre site in Bapchule, Arizona. We provided the landscape construction documents associated with the first phase of the project, which included a 30,000 square-foot building and an outdoor amphitheater. The development included the landscape and irrigation design around the classroom building, amphitheater, and parking lot turn-around.

Latch School: Special Needs School
Location: NWC Baseline Road and Elm Road - Tempe, Arizona
Gilmore Parsons was selected as part of the design team to work on this existing church and school campus. We prepared the inventory of the existing site conditions, modified the site plan in accordance with current programming, and provided new landscape and hardscape design for the entire campus. Part of this effort included the design of fencing and pedestrian circulation corridors within the center of campus to keep older and younger children separated. Gilmore Parsons completed the landscape construction documents for the project and is currently providing construction administration services.

Learning Works Preschool: School
Location: West Mondell Road - Surprise, Arizona
Gilmore Parsons was selected as part of the design team to work on this preschool building. We provided the landscape design construction documents for the school, working closely with school staff to program the requirements for the landscape design. Special consideration was given to the plant species used on the project; care was taken to not have any poisonous, allergenic, or thorny plants in close proximity to the children's activity areas.
